Do I need a trial?

If you are the Bride, I cannot recommend having a trial enough. Bridal trials are mandatory to ensure that you are 100% happy and that the makeup wears perfectly on your skin.

I also recommend any clients with sensitive skin to book in for a trial to avoid any unwanted flare-ups on the day.

I have a large bridal party - how early is early on the wedding morning?

I don't know about you but I would rather not be in a rush on the day of my wedding. I would rather enjoy the special moments with your loved ones and enjoy a drink.

I always aim to get Brides ready 1 hour before their ceremony time so that they can get into their dress, take photographs and have touch-ups before they leave.

If you have a later afternoon or evening ceremony, you do not need to worry about starting early. However, if your wedding is at 12.00PM for example and there are 7 of you, chances are I will be there ready to set up at 5.00AM.

Do you recommend lashes?

This is my own personal opinion, but individual lashes really do complete a bridal look. They are so lightweight and natural. I always say to Brides and party members that we can always try them at the trial and if you do not like them, we can take them off. Individual lashes are not necessarily designed to make your lashes longer, but to make them appear fuller.

If you are opting for longer but natural-looking lashes, I recommend going to somebody that specialises in LVL or lash extensions that last for a longer period of time. I highly recommend S J Signature Lashes. Sarah specialises in LVL, Classic Lashes, Hybrid Lashes, Volume Lashes and Russian Volume Lashes.

I can also apply strip lashes depending on your desired look. Individual 1 day lashes and strip lashes are included in every makeup service I offer.

Can I hire you for partial makeup services?

Yes! I am able to do base makeup which includes: skincare, foundation, concealing, powder, brows, bronzer, blusher and highlighter. Or I am available for just eye makeup application which includes lashes.

My flower girl wants to feel included, do you offer anything?

I think its adorable that younger party members want to feel equally as beautiful as the other members! I offer a complimentary service for those aged 12 and under. This includes blusher, lip-gloss and a little bit of shimmer.

Do you travel to me?

I work mobile for all of my makeup services meaning I come to you for the trial and travel to the desired location on the wedding day. I come fully kitted with my professional kit, ring light and directors chair. All I ask for is a bit of table space.

How soon should I book a makeup artist?

I recommend booking your makeup trial in as soon as you have a venue booked. As long as we plan your trial to take place after you have found your dress, that works perfectly.

Makeup and Hair Stylists get booked up very quickly and can have bookings up to two years in advance.

How long does makeup take to apply?

I allow myself 45-50 minutes per person so that I can ensure high-standard application and a stress-free appointment for the both of us.

Can you hold a date without a booking fee?

No, due to the number of enquiries for similar dates, I am unable to secure a booking without a booking fee and acknowledged contract.

What happens if you are ill or contract the covid-19 virus?

As per my terms and conditions, I will make all efforts to find a replacement for myself. I am lucky enough to be a part of a support group of makeup artists where we all talk to each other when cover is needed due to illness and/or a postponement date that we can no longer do.

Can you provide touch-ups for after the ceremony?

Yes, I offer an add-on service where I will stay on location until after your ceremony for any makeup touch-ups that are needed. This is charged at £50.00 P/H.

Will my makeup last all day?

A good way to know if your makeup is going to last is by having a trial. After your trial, I recommend leaving your makeup on as long as you can to see how it appears at the end of the day. Only the products that I swear by are used in my kit.

On your wedding day, each bridal party member will receive a pot of lipstick, disposable wand and powder to touch-up with throughout the day.

What brands do you use?

I have a wide variety of brands in my kit but my favourites and most reached for are: Charlotte Tilbury, Illamasqua, Armani, Bobbi Brown.
