5 tips for making the most of your makeup trial

1. Come prepared

Gather a folder of everything wedding related for your MUA to see. By this, I mean photographs of your wedding dress, the bridesmaid dresses, flowers and any other finishing touches that may come in use when creating your bridal look. Make sure you save makeup looks that you like the look of from Instagram and Pinterest - these will really help.

2. Wear your makeup as long as you can

After your trial, I always recommend wearing your makeup for as long as you possibly can. Remember, you will be wearing your wedding makeup ALL DAY and we want to know how the products sit on your skin. Make plans, go for a few drinks or even a meal. It would be a shame to waste it.

3. Try and wear your hair similarly to how you will be having it

You may not have had your hair trial yet but you might have some ideas. Try to style your hair as closely to how you would like it so that you get the complete look. If you're super organised, try and arrange your hair trial for the same day (but different time).

4. Replicate your dress colour

This will give us an idea on how the colours look against the colour you are wearing.

5. Give honest feedback at the trial & after the trial

If there is something that you are uncertain about, tell me there and then as I will be able to tweak it until you are 100% happy. If after the trial there is something you would like to change, that is absolutely fine and easily done. It's important that you also give feedback on how the makeup lasted and looked at the end of the day so that we can change products if needs be. A good example of this would be if you have gone shiny or oily throughout the day - this would mean possibly changing product.
