On Friday 3rd May, Molly and Jack tied the knot at the Curradine Barns.
I love this venue ok? The bridal prep room is just a perfectly sized room for you and your bridal party to get ready in. I was working alongside one of my favourite hair stylists, Sam, who funnily enough, I don't even know when i'm next going to work with...She just appears (I do recommend her ALL THE TIME to my brides though).
On another note, shoutout to Molly for being the most organised Bride I have EVER come across in nearly six years of makeup. She had a ring binder of absolutely everything you could have imagined to do with her wedding. It was seriously impressive.
Due to the prep room not being available until 9am, we started in the Honeymoon Cottage which Molly and Jack stayed in the night before. Super cute because Jack was like "see you later" to Molly. I did two bridesmaids (one of which was a past Bride of mine!) here before moving over to the prep room around 9am. I then did Mollys sister Ruby, her Mom, and of course, Molly.
Bridesmaids were wearing beautiful sage green dresses and Molly was wearing a stunning, almost boho dress paired with a colourful flower crown made out of real flowers - it just screamed spring/summer!
At Mollys trial, she had a naughty leaky eye which she said she has alot of the time. We tried everything, I mean everything to stop it from happening at the trial but nothing worked. A makeup artists worst nightmare. We both went off and did our research on what could prevent this happening on the wedding day and we both came across antihistamines and vaseline being the top two best preventatives for a watery eye. Instead of me applying 1-day individuals on the wedding day, Molly decided to get individuals done by a lash tech as she thought this could have been a cause as well. Back to the vaseline...it worked, I don't understand how or why, but it helped! She applied it to the inner and the outer corner of the eye and we just applied her makeup as normal. I was skeptical and it was definitely risky with whether the makeup would stick to the vaseline, but after a slight water at the beginning, it stopped! Definitely give this trick a try if you suffer with the same.
MOLLYS LOOK -
Molly doesn't really wear alot of makeup and wanted a soft and glowy look. We did a shimmery champagne lid with soft neutral browns. I only used two browns so that it didn't become a super smokey eye and paired it with a small diffused brown wing. We used a slightly fuller coverage foundation, which was the IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream, enhanced her features with cream bronzer and blush and set just her t-zone so to keep the fresh glowy look to her skin. This worked lovely with the beautiful half-up half-down style that Sam created.
