My first two weddings of 2024 took place in the last few weeks of March and I couldn't be more excited for the year ahead!
23/03/2024 Holly's Wedding Morning
I kicked off the year with Holly's wedding on the 23rd March. Holly booked me quite late on but luckily I was available on her date! That's why it's good to always check my availability just in case I'm free!
I was only booked for Holly's makeup on the morning but then her Mom asked if I could fit her in for eyes only. As I had no other booking after this, we did this.
Holly didn't want anything too heavy, or anything that made her feel uncomfortable and unlike herself as she doesn't wear a lot of makeup on a daily basis. I put an instagram post up the other day about having individual eyelashes on your wedding day - if you don't want them, you don't have to have them, I just recommend a lash lift and tint (LVL) instead so that you can create the illusion of more volume and length. WELL, Holly didn't have either, just mascara!
I used Armani Luminous Silk Foundation for her base and added any additional coverage with NARS Soft Matte Concealer as well as NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer for under the eyes. We kept it very natural on the eyes using shades 02, 05 and 11 from the Makeup By Mario Master Eyes Palette with a slight shimmer on the lid from the Charlotte Tilbury Champagne Eyes to Mesmerise pot.
Overall, Holly's wedding morning was very chilled with in the comfort of her own home as only her son, mom, sister and hairdresser (as well as me) were there in the morning.
28/03/2024 Amy's Wedding Morning
It was my first time doing makeup at The Hundred House and it was a lovely and cosy area to get ready in. Myself and Linzi Loops completed all of the hairs and makeups in the carriage near their gardens before making our way upstairs for any final touch-ups.
I'm going to be 100% honest with you... Amy's wedding day makeup looked completely different to the trial makeup because there were some changes we made for the day. It wasn't that she disliked the makeup, just that it was maybe too much for her after not wearing makeup for a while (twin mom!) Instead of having a second trial, Amy put her full trust and confidence in me to create a softer look for her on the wedding day and she ended up loving it.
How beautiful is this braided headband that Linzi created?! You can't tell from the photo, but Amy's hair is SO LONG so obviously she had it in a braided half up half down.
