Wedding Styled Shoot @ The Pigeon Loft

bridal-makeup

Last month, Tom (Thomas Barstow Photography) asked me if I would be willing to collaborate on a styled shoot with him despite it not being in my area. Obviously I said yes!

monochromatic-styling

Styled shoots are such an amazing way to get to work with other creatives and create something amazing together. There was no moodboard or set style for this shoot and we really just went with the overall vibe of the styling that Silhouette Events did.

As the aesthetic was monochromatic, I went for a neutral eye look rather than something else. So Maisie still felt comfortable enough, I asked Maisie how much makeup she usually liked to wear so that I knew how much makeup to apply. We went for a very soft and glowy bridal look which was also very classic. I decided that a small smokey wing would compliment Maisie's eye shape and really just trusted the process and it paid off!

We went for light browns in the crease and champagne colours for the lid. I used the Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerise pot in 'Champagne' for this. Instead of a black liner, I opted for a dark brown as I find that sometimes, unless a preference by the client, black can be too harsh. I then added some individual lashes all across the lash line and layered more on the outer edges for added volume - I used lengths 9mm, 10mm and 11mm.

Can we also just talk about the extras that Tom thought about for this shoot? He asked Maisie to arrive in her original bridal PJs from hers and Oli's wedding last year!

wedding-cake

This cake by Loulys Little Bakery paired with the whole shoot BEAUTIFULLY. Unfortunately I can't comment on the taste as it was for shoot purposes only (gutted!) but it was gorgeous. I mean, look at it!
